In September of 2012 we lost Heather VanHoozer because of terrible decisions made by a drunk driver. Her family lost their only child, and the pain is still felt every single day.
The Victim Services department of MADD North Texas was there to help to provide emotional support, guidance through the justice process, and connecting us with other victims who've endured similar tragedies. In the subsequent years I have wanted to keep Heather's memory and spirit alive by sharing her story in hopes those who hear it will make better decisions.
